Coming up in the New York entertainment scene, Alexandra The Great 48 gained initial acclaim as a competition-winning, Sofia Loren lookalike.

Accepting modeling positions and performing as Brandy Alexander, she came under the wing of well-established burlesque star Rose La Rose and learned what it took to capture an audience’s imagination for an entire performance. She changed her stage name due to the popularity of the film classic Alexander the Great and the fact that another performer was already using her name.
